Week of June 4th-June 8th

Reminders: 

1). On Friday, June 8th, there will be no after school. 

 2). Final Schedule for Grades 5-7:

Tuesday, June 12th- ELA

Thursday, June 14th- Math

Friday, June 15th- Social Studies

Monday, June 18th- Science

Tuesday, June 19th- Italian (7th Grade)

 

Grade 5- This week, the students will continue working on their final review game; they will be creating 70 questions that focus on the final review sheet topics; a specific rubric will be followed throughout this project.  The students will be playing “Basketball Jeopardy” for their final review on Friday, June 8th. The students must review for their final each day; the ELA Final Exam will be taking place on Tuesday, June 12th.

Homework/Testing Schedule: 

Monday, June 4th- 1). Study for the ELA Final Exam; read for 20 minutes; no written reading log is required. 2). Bring in any materials you may need for your project!  Don’t forget-i-Pads or laptops will be needed to type questions and to research reading comprehension passages. 

Tuesday, June 5th- 1). Study for the ELA Final Exam; read for 20 minutes; no written reading log is required.

Wednesday, June 6th- 1). Study for the ELA Final Exam; read for 20 minutes; no written reading log is required.

Grade 7- This week, the students will continue working on their final review game for ELA and their creative song for their religion final; for ELA, they will be creating 70 questions that focus on the final review sheet topics; a specific rubric will be followed throughout this project. For religion, they will be using their review sheet to come up with a song (using the beat of a real song) based on all of the topics given. The students will be playing “Basketball Jeopardy” as a final review for religion on Friday, June 8th. The students must review for their finals each day; The Religion Final Exam will be taking place on Monday, June 11th, and the ELA Final Exam will be taking place on Tuesday, June 12th. (I have moved “ELA Basketball Jeopardy” to Monday, June 11th.)

Grade 8- For the time the class meets, they will be watching an inspirational video in which Dr. Sampson Davis, one of the main characters from the novel we read as a class, We Beat the Street, discusses all he has overcome in order to succeed in life.  His encouraging words explain the importance of education and how vital it is to have faith in oneself in order to accomplish goals no matter how challenging they may be. 

There will be no written homework this week. =)
