Week of April 27-April 30th

Grade 5- This week, the students will be presenting their “Satchel Paige” books to the class; for the rest of the week, they will be focusing on prepositions, object of a preposition, and prepositional phrases; they will be listening to the “Yankee Doodle” preposition song to better remember specific prepositions; they will be working on various writing activities with prepositions, including a picture prompt preposition story.

*All specific assignments will be posted in Google Classroom throughout the week. 

 

Grade 6- This week, the students will be presenting their “Mother Fletcher” books to the class; for the rest of the week, they will be focusing on two specific figures of speech-personification and hyperbole. They will be working on various activities to review these two types of figures of speech and working on a creative story using them. 

*All specific assignments will be posted in Google Classroom throughout the week. 

 

Grade 7-This week, the students will be presenting their “All Summer In A Day” books to the class; next, they will be focusing on misplaced modifiers; they will be working on various activities to gain a better understanding of the topic as well.

Religion-This week, the students will continue focusing on Chapter 7: “The Promise of Salvation”. They will be reading and outlining parts of the chapter and also focusing on The Magnificat.

Grade 8- This week, the students will be presenting their “Anne Frank Time Capsule” projects to the class; for the rest of the week, they will be focusing on the last type of verbal-infinitives. They will be working on various activities to gain a better understanding of this topic.
