Week of April 15th-April 19th

Reminders:

*All grades must be done with their novels by the time we come back from spring break.*

1). 8:30 a.m. Mass on Monday, April 15th; there is no class with Fr. Marc today.

2). Stations of the Cross-Tuesday, April 16th at 1:15 P.M. All parents are invited. Please keep in mind, no NUT cards are allowed for tomorrow; all students must wear their full uniform. 

3). There is a 12:00 P.M. dismissal on Wednesday, April 17th.

4). School is closed on Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Wishing all of our OLGCA families a Healthy and Happy Easter! 

5). School will resume on Monday, April 29th. 

 

Grade 5- This week, the students will finish working on their book cover project based on the life of Satchel Paige; they will be typing out their final parts for the project, and they will be finishing their final draft of their books. The students will also be presenting their projects to the class.

Tentative Homework Schedule:

Monday, April 15th- 1). The final draft of your book project is due tomorrow! You will be presenting your book tomorrow. 2). Read for 20 minutes; no written reading log is required.

Tuesday, April 16th- 1). Read for 20 minutes; no written reading log is required. 

Wednesday, April 17th- 1). There is no written homework tonight or over the Easter break; however, please finish your novel since you will be working on a book report project when you return to school.

Grade 6- This week, the students will finish working on their book cover project based on the “Mother Fletcher’s Gift”; they will be typing out their final parts for the project, and they will be finishing their final draft of their books. The students will also be presenting their projects to the class.

Monday, April 15th- 1). The final draft of your book project is due tomorrow! You will be presenting your book tomorrow. 2). Read for 20 minutes; no written reading log is required.

Tuesday, April 16th- 1). Read for 20 minutes; no written reading log is required.

Grade 7- This week, the students will finish working on their magazine project based on the “All Summer in a Day”; they will be typing out their final parts for the project, and they will be finishing their final draft of their books. The students will also be presenting their projects to the class.

Religion- The class is continuing to work with their buddies on their children’s book based on Lent, Triduum, Easter, and Pentecost. 

Tentative Homework Schedule:

Monday, April 15th- 1). The final draft of your magazine project is due Wednesday! You will be presenting your magazine on Wednesday as well. 2). Finish the Triduum handout (questions); I will be collecting them tomorrow. 

Tuesday, April 16th- 1). Read for 20 minutes; no written reading log is required. 2). “All Summer In A Day” project is due tomorrow!

Wednesday, April 17th- 1). There is no written homework tonight or over the Easter break; however, please finish your novel since you will be working on a book report project when you return to school.

Grade 8- This week, the students will finish working on their time capsule project based on the “The Diary of Anne Frank”; they will be typing out their final parts for the project, and they will be finishing their final draft of their books. The students will also be presenting their projects to the class.

Tentative Homework Schedule:

*Be ready to start the final parts of the project on Monday! Be sure to have your shoebox and materials that you may need!*
