5th Grade

This week the fifth grade will be working on fractions as being used as ratios to compare two quantities. Then we will go onto when two ratios are equal to one another forming a proportion.  They will then use what they have learning about equivalent fractions and use those techniques to be able to solve proportions.  They can then use these methods and apply them to measuring scale distances on maps.  By the end of the week, we will be converting between decimals, fractions, and percents.
