For The Week of 3/5/18

                                                                                         Eighth Grade

Monday: On Monday, we will work on Parallel and Perpendicular Lines. In the workbook for homework, due page 189 numbers 12-14.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will continue on yesterday’s lesson on page 190. For homework do problems on page 190 numbers 27-29.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will be working on Systems of Linear Inequalities on page 197. For homework do problems 16-20.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will be working on pages 197 and one 198. For homework do problems 30-32. This involves graphing points that a part and not part of the solution given for each graph.

Friday:  On Friday, we will be working on Ratios, Rates, and Unit Rates. This is in the workbook page 211. There is no homework.

                                                                                    Seventh Grade

Monday: On Monday, we will start Pythagorean Theorem, found on pages 315 and 316 in the workbook. I will be adding word problems as well, that comprise much of the manner of testing this year and next. For homework do problems nine and 10 on page 315.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will continue with Pythagorean on page 316. For homework do problems 17-19 in the workbook

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will be working on Pythagorean word problems that will be provided to the students. For homework, the students are to create their own word problems. We will review what is required to create such problems. I will be asking for two word problems that involve Pythagorean Theorem. These problems must be solvable by the student, that creates the problem.

Thursday: We will start the topic of Transversals. I will introduce how to calculate the angles that are congruent, as well as to introduce Interior alternate interior, exterior, and alternate exterior lines. For homework on page 277 in the workbook do problems nine-12.

Friday: On Friday, we will be working on Complementary and Supplemental Angles, as well as how to recognize Acute, Right, Obtuse, and Reflex. There is no homework.

                                                                                  Sixth Grade

Monday: On Monday, we will start the topic of Probability. I will introduce the concept and how to calculate Independent Probability. In the workbook on page 100, do problems 18-21 for homework.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will review Monday’s work and introduce Dependent Probability found on page 101. For homework do problems seven-nine in the workbook.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will be working on Predictions and Probability on page 103 in the workbook. For homework do problems17-19 on page 103 in the workbook.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will be working on problem solving of word problems using Venn Diagrams. I will introduce what a Venn diagram is and how to break down word problems using this type of diagram. For homework do problems seven-eight on page 104 in the workbook.

Friday: On Friday, we will continue working on word problems, without diagrams, and the process of how to take apart word problems. These word problems can be found on page 105 in the workbook. There is no homework.

                                                                                  Fifth Grade

Monday: On Monday we will continue working on Probability.  I will provide new scenarios, as well as provide problems for homework.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will start Dependant Probability. This can be found on page 81 in the workbook. Dependant Probability requires to two probabilities to occur simultaneously, and to calculate the chance. For homework do problems 12 and 13 on page 81 in the workbook.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will continue working on Independent and Dependant Probability on page 82 in the workbook. For homework do problems three-five on page 82 in the workbook.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will review for the test on Friday. For homework create two Independent Probability questions and two Dependant Probability problems.

Friday: On Friday we will take a test on Independent and Dependant Problems. There is no homework.
