                                                                                        Eighth Grade

Monday: On Monday, we will be finishing linear inequalities on page 198. The students will learn how to graph and indicate what is and what is not a solution to a slope problem. For homework do problems 30-32 on page 198.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will be working on the Systems of Linear Inequalities. The topic indicates how to plot two slope equations on one graph and indicate what areas are true to the formulas. For homework do questions seven-nine on page 200 in the workbook.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will start working on Translations and Reflections. These terms refer to changing the coordinates of polygons across the plane. For homework do problems seven-nine on page 316 in the workbook.

Thursday: On Thursday: we will work on Rotations in the Coordinate Plane. Rotations turn polygons either clockwise or counterclockwise. For homework do problems 10-12 on page 318.

Friday: On Friday, we will work on Dilations of polygons. Dilations contract the size proportionally. We will be working on pages 319 and 320, in the workbook. There is no homework.

                                                                                     Seventh Grade

Monday: On Monday, we will complete the topic of Pythagorean with word problems that will be supplied to the class. We will also review for a quiz on Tuesday. For homework the students are to study chapter 10-5 in the workbook as well as their notes. I will review at lunch time on Monday if any student wishes.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, there will be a quiz on Pythagorean. There is no homework.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will start the topic of Area of Parallelograms. The formula is: Area=Base x height or A=B x H. For homework do page 317 numbers 13-16.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will continue working on Tuesday’s lesson on page 318 in the workbook. For homework do problems 29 and 30 in the workbook.

Friday: On Friday, We will be working on Triangles and Trapezoids on page 319 in the workbook.  The formula for the area of a triangle is: A= one half times height. The formula for a trapezoid is: A= one half times (Base one +Base Two) times height. There is no homework.

                                                                                  Sixth Grade

Monday: On Monday we will start working on graphs and charts for the week. We will look at the process of how to read charts, surveys, and data. On Monday, we will be working on surveys. For homework do problems 10&11 on page 106 in the workbook.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will be working on how to read samples on page 107 in the workbook. For homework do problems nine and ten on page 107.

Wednesday: On Wednesday we will discuss Bias in Surveys, on page 108 and 109 in the workbook. For homework do problems 10 and 11 on page 109.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will be working on word problems on page 110 and 111 in the workbook. For homework do problems seven and eight on page 111.

Friday: On Friday, We will be working on Box and Whisker Plots and Stem and Leaf Plots on page 112 and 113 in the workbook. There is no homework.

                                                                               Fifth Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will continue working on Median and Mean on page 83 in the workbook. For homework do problems nine and ten on page 83.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will be working on graphing word problems in the workbook. For homework do problems 13-15 on page 84.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will be working on Line Plots on pages 85 in the workbook. For homework do problems six and seven on page 86.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will be working on Histograms and Making line graphs on pages 86 and 87 in the workbook. For homework do problems eight and nine on page 87.

Friday: On Friday we will be working on page 88 that covers how to Interpret Circle Graphs.  There is no homework.
