Letter from the Principal

February 7, 2018

Dear Parents of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy,

It is hard to believe that we are already in the month of February. In just a few more months, spring will be upon us. The students of OLGCA continue to work hard in their academics and express daily their Catholic Identity, by showing acts of kindness and generosity. Last week we celebrated Catholic Schools Week with our annual Open House for new families and fun filled events throughout the week. The events are posted on our website and Facebook page for you to view and enjoy.

The second trimester is rapidly moving, thankfully, we have only had to cancel school two days due to the inclement weather. Hopefully this will continue so we don’t miss any more days of school, but with winter weather we know this may happen from time to time. As always, if school is closed, you will receive an alert through Option C.

The students of OLGCA are currently participating in The Pennies for Patients Program. All of the proceeds go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This program will continue throughout the month of March. Thank you to all of the students who continue to support this program.

Re-registration began on Tuesday, January 30th, 2018, for the 2018-2019 school year. Please read the information sent home with your child/children. Registration for new families will take place on Wednesday, February 7th, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. In addition, we will have ongoing registration for the remainder of the school year. Please call the main office at 718-848-7440 to make an appointment.

Thank you for your continuous support of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy. Your children are working hard, making great choices, and most importantly, demonstrating in so many ways the importance of kindness, empathy, and sharing. Please remember to look at the website for any updates pertaining to OLGCA.

Best Wishes,

Miss McManus
