Grade 4: Week of May 18th – May 22nd

All specific assignments will be posted in Google Classroom

 

ELA: 

Students will complete their project based on the novel Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.

Grammar:

Students will continue working in Grammar Workshop on Unit 5:  Pronouns.  This week our focus will be on object pronouns and possessive pronouns.

Math:

This week we are beginning Chapter 9:  Relate Fractions to Decimals.  The students will record tenths and hundredths as a fraction and as a decimal.

Religion:

This week the students will learn that the seventh commandment calls us to live out the peace and justice of Jesus Christ.  They well also discover that God wants us to respect the propertay and dignity of all people.

Social Studies:

This week the students will Explore Chapter 7 Lesson 2:  Early New York State.  They will explain how Iroquis lands in New York became open for settlement,  compare geographic factors that influenced the location of several New York Cities, and identify the causes of the War of 1812.

Science:

To be announced.
