This week, the third grade will…

  • Begin Spelling, Unit 7.
  • Continue with Grammar, Unit 4: Adjectives & Adverbs.
  • Continue practicing Main Idea & Key Details using Graphic Organizers.
  • Review and prepare for our Mid-Chapter 5 Math Quiz.
  • Complete Religion, Chapter 5 with a Chapter Test.
  • Continue with Math, Chapter 5: Use Multiplication Facts, Lesson 5.3
  • Continue exploring Scholastic News article “My Grandpa Changed America” with various activities.
  • Create a Martin Luther King mini-booklet.

  • Mid-Chapter 5 Math Quiz on Unknown Factors- Tuesday, 1/15
  • Chapter 5 Religion Test- Wednesday, 1/16
  • Unit 7 Spelling Quiz- Thursday, 1/17

Monday:

ELA-

  • Spelling- Write Spelling Words Unit 7 in ABC order.
  • Grammar- Complete page 130 (Lesson 28).
  • Reading-
    1. Reading Log due Thursday, 1/17.
    2. Read “Dogs with Jobs” and answer #1-4.

Math- Study for our Mid-Chapter 5 Quiz. 

Religion- Study for Chapter 5 Test.


Tuesday:

ELA-

  • Spelling- Write sentences for spelling words #1-10.
  • Grammar- Complete page 134 (Lesson 29).
  • Reading- Reading Log due Thursday, 1/17.

Religion- Study for Chapter 5 Test.


Wednesday: 

ELA-

  • Spelling- Write the words 3x each and study for our Unit 7 Spelling Quiz.
  • Grammar- Complete page 138 (Lesson 30).
  • Reading- Reading Log due tomorrow, 1/17.

Math- Complete Lesson 5.3, pages 277-278.


Thursday:

  • *Sign & correct (on a separate sheet of paper) the Vocabulary Unit 6 Quiz and Math Chapter 5 Quiz by Tuesday, January 22nd if you have not already done so.*
  • Begin reviewing for our Reading Comprehension Test on Main Idea, Key Details, and Graphic Organizers. The test will be given on Thursday, 1/24. Study the worksheets that have been sent home, as well as the Ready Book pages we’ve completed in the past few weeks.
