Example: If you are ordering pizza for six kids and each kids wants three slices you need to multiply six times three equaling 18 slices. Each pie has eight slices how many whole pizza’s do you need? The problem asks how many whole pizzas?   To order enough pizza you need to divide 18 by eight. That comes out to two pizzas however, you are two slices short. Therefore, you need three pizzas to give each person three slices.
