For The Week of 9/24

                                                                                  For the Week of 9/24/18

For All grades, there is a dress down day for, National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month on Tuesday September 25th. The donation is $2.00 and a theme is a Yellow/Gold dress down.

                                                                                             Eighth Grade

Until November second, we will be working directly toward the TACHS Test on November 3, 2018. There are some 40 areas I will address to some degree. After the test, I will revisit numerous subjects to expand on the information I wish to cover further.

Monday: On Monday, we will continue working on adding and subtracting of radicals. For homework the students will create one adding, one subtracting, and one multiplying of a radical problem.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will begin foiling. Foiling is a technique used to create a Trinomial and used for multiplying radicals. For homework I will assign five problems.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will begin solving Trinomials. I will assign five problems for homework.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will review for the test I have moved, until Friday September 28th. For homework review your notes on radicals, foiling, and Trinomials.  

Friday: On Friday, there is a test as indicated under Thursday class review. There is no homework.

 

                                                                                         Seventh Grade

Monday: On Monday, will review one step algebra problems and begin two step operations as well. For homework do problems on page 188 in the workbook.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will continue with two step and multiple step equations, while incorporating word problems. For home complete page 189.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will be working on expanding the equations to include division and fraction in the equations. For homework I will assign five problems.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will review for the test on Friday. The test will be based on Expressions and two and multiple step equations. For homework study your notes and the pages in the workbook we covered on the above topics.

Friday: On Friday there will be a test. There is no homework.

                                                                                       Sixth Grade

Monday: On Monday, we will be working on Greatest Common Factors (GCF). For homework do page 31 in the workbook.

Tuesday: On Tuesday we will continue working on GCF. For homework complete page 34.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, We will work on Least Common Multiple. (LCM). For homework complete page 38 in the workbook.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will review for the test on Friday. The test will include: Multiplying and dividing with positive and negative numbers, as well as GCF and LCM. For homework study your notes and the pages in the workbook we covered.

Friday: On Friday there will be a test. There is no homework.

                                                                                       Fifth Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will be working on dividing with decimals. I will assign five homework problems.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will divide with decimals and add two numbers divided into two or more numbers. For homework do page 291 and 292 in the workbook.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will be working on dividing by (10) to a given power. This is on page 293 in the workbook. For homework finish problems one-seven in the workbook.

Thursday: On Thursday, we will review for the test on Friday. The test areas will include: adding, subtracting and dividing with decimals.

Friday: On Friday, there will be a test. There is no homework.
