There will be a math test on Monday and Tuesday next week November 20 and 21st. The following is a tentative schedule for homework this week. The tentative nature is based upon what is desired to cover for the given days. Whenever, there is not a compete or near complete understanding by the students, I am making such adjustments regarding their class work and homework to allow for more work, in the given topic. It would be unfair to continue working toward another topic without having mastered the prior topic. This is what occurs many times in the public schools based upon the administrations agenda. Fortunately at OLGCA , there aren’t any mandates to move to another topic per day. The following is the homework and areas of testing per grade:

Eight Grade

Monday: For homework page 140 numbers 37-40.

Tuesday: For homework page 140 numbers 49-52.

Wednesday: For homework page 141 numbers 22-24.

Thursday: For homework page 142 numbers 37 and 38.

Friday: No homework.

Testing area: Polynomials and inequalities

Seventh Grade

Monday: The students are to create five multiplication problems.

Tuesday: The students are to create five dividing exponents problems.

Wednesday: For homework in the workbook page 99 numbers 12-15.

Thursday: Page 100 in the workbook numbers 25-30.

Friday: No homework.

Testing areas: Exponents, negative exponents, multiplying exponents, and dividing exponents.

Sixth Grade

Monday; For homework in the workbook page 40 numbers 21-24.

Tuesday: For homework the students are to do 19-24 on page 41.

Wednesday:For homework page 41 in the workbook numbers.

Thursday: For homework the student must create a combination of five one step addition and subtraction problems.

Friday: There is no homework.

Test Areas: Adding, subtraction, multiplying, and dividing equations and using a let chart. This is covered on pages 39-42 in the workbook.

Fifth Grade

Monday: For homework in the workbook page 47 numbers 14-20.

Tuesday: For homework the students are to create their own five problems as seen on page 48 in the workbook covering the topic comparing and the order of fractions.

Wednesday: For homework page 48 numbers 13-16.

Thursday: For homework the students will create five of their problems as illustrated on page 48, comparing at least three fractions from least to greatest.

Friday: There is no homework.

Test Areas: Mixed numbers, comparing fractions using less than grater than or equal, and finding the missing term fro fractions.
