  • Students will continue to review in school for all the upcoming Final Exams.

Grade 3: Week of 5/28-5/31

This week the third grade will…

  • Begin Spelling Unit 14 (our final week of Spelling!)
  • Continue to practice our Reading Comprehension skills using a variety of resources.
  • Review what we know about Fractions and prepare for a quiz (our last Math assessment before the Final Exam).
  • Review Science, Chapter 4 and prepare for a Chapter test (our last Science assessment before the Final Exam).
  • Continue collecting our thoughts and memories as we write for our own newspaper, “The Third Grade Times.”
  • Finalize Religion, Chapter 9 with an Open-Book Quiz.
  • Sing and participate in The Wizard of OLGCA.
  • Begin our Math and ELA Review packets. ** Be sure to send those two packets back to school every day with your child! **

 Friday May 10th is Spirit Day therefore; there will be no classroom instructions.

                                                                                   Eighth Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will review using a function to create slope. For homework I will assign two problems.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will work on using the slope formula to find and plot the location. For homework the students will be assigned problems.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, the students will be given lines on a graph and asked to find the slope. For homework, study for the slope test. 

Thursday: On Thursday, there will be a test on slope. There is no homework.

                                                                                   Seventh Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will review pages 367- 374 on probability. For homework do pages 375-378.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will be working on pages 379-380. For homework do pages 381- 383.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will work on pages 384-386. For homework do pages 387- 392 and study for the test on Thursday.

 

Thursday: On Thursday there will be a test on probability. There is no homework.

                                                                                         Sixth Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will be working on writing expressions. For homework do problem 39 on page 267 and problems 40 and 41 on page 368.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will continue working on expressions on pages 269β€”271. For homework do problems one-six on page 272.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, there will be a handout on expressions. For homework, study for the expression test on Thursday.

Thursday: On Thursday, there will be a test on expressions.

                                                                                         Fifth Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will be working on adding and subtracting fractions. For homework do problems 10 and 11 on page 361.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will continue working on fractions. For homework do problems 10 and 11 on page 367.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will be working on pages 376 and 377. For homework, study for a test on Thursday on adding and subtracting fractions.
