Dear Parents of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy,

I hope that you and your families are doing well. We have officially completed week seven of distance learning. I am very proud of our students, and staff on how well they adjusted to this new norm of education. I have been communicating quite often with the OLGCA faculty who are working nights, weekends and many more hours than a regular school day. They are doing a great job to ensure their students are getting the best education from home. I thank you, the parents for all of your hard work and support under these unimaginable and challenging times. Please continue to contact your child’s teacher, if you have any questions or need clarification regarding your child’s school work.

Father Marc and I are currently working together on a May Crowning virtual ceremony on Wednesday, May 20th. Once plans are finalized, I will send out an update through Option C and the school website.

All of the schools in the Diocese of Brooklyn already have been in collaboration with the Office of the Superintendent in planning meaningful ways to honor our students in their ceremonial end of the year events. I will continue to update you once plans are finalized.

If you have not re-registered your child for the 2020-2021 school year, attached are directions on how to re-register your child online through Option C. If you are currently able to pay the $200.00 registration fee, you can goto: www.futuresineducation.org/tuition ,and make the payment. If you are unable to make the payment at this time, the payment will be added onto your tuition for the 2020-2021 school year. The financial aid applications for 2020-2021 will remain open until May 31, 2020. The application is available at :www.futuresineducation.org/scholarships. I encourage everyone to go forward and register your child/children for the 2020-2021 school year. Families, who are not re-registered, will not be eligible for the current Relief Fund through Futures in Education. The Relief Fund application will continue to be open through May 15, 2020 at: www.futuresineducation.org/covid19app. I strongly recommend that any family affected by Covid19, to please apply.
