                                                                         For the Week of 11/18/18

                                             

To the students and families of Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade classes, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. On this day of thanks, I am grateful for the opportunity to working with your children!

                                                                                 Eighth Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will continue working on the Slope Project. The slope Project is due by November 28th. A requirement outline, as well as a rubric has been given to the students. For homework work on any area of requirements that needs to be completed.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will continue on the Slope Project. If there are any questions, or if the students need to review any aspect of the project, I will review that area. For homework continue to work on the project.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will start putting all drawings on new graphing paper. Please remember all of the completed project must be placed on either a Scientific Board or Oak Tag. There is no homework.

                                                                               Seventh Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will work on our Pythagorean Project. The project is due by November 28th. The requirements as well as the rubric have been given to the students. For homework, continue working on your project.

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will work on the Pythagorean project and begin placing the drawing on graph paper. For homework continue working on the project.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, the students should start bringing in the typed word problems to be placed on either a Scientific Board or on Oak Tag. There is no homework.

                                                                                   Sixth Grade:

Monday: On Monday, we will work on a project that is due on November 28th. The sixth grade project will ask the students to create and compare ten different fractions and indicate which one is larger. They will indicate which one is larger by using the Greater than sign > or the less than sign <. This project will be placed upon either a Scientific Board or on Oak Tag. For homework keep working on your project.  

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will continue working on the project. For homework, work on your project requirements.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, the students will be asked to move their work from scrap paper to their clean presentation paper. There is no homework.

                                                                                      Fifth Grade:

Monday: On Monday, the class will be working on their division of fraction and fractions into whole numbers project. The project is due by November 28th. The students on November 28th will take their finalized work and (Teach the fourth grade class) as to what they have learned. If you can teach a subject, you have ownership of that subject. The project will also give the fourth graders a chance to see fifth grade work. An outline and a rubric have been given to the students. For homework continue working on your project

Tuesday: On Tuesday, we will continue putting together student created problems for the project. For homework continue working on the project.

Wednesday: On Wednesday, we will start to transfer the students scrap work to a final sheet. For the project the students will need to attach their work to either a Scientific Board or to Oak Tag. There is no homework.
