2nd Grade: Week of 9/23-9/27

Week at a Glance:

ELA– a) Superkids: encode that to make the -th sound put your tongue in between your teeth, use memory words to help fill in the sentences provided, encode that a statement has a period; question has a question mark and shouting/excitement has a exclamation mark, encode that when two words are put together in a contraction; an apostrophe takes the place of the missing letter and encode that homonyms are words that sound alike but have different meanings 

           b) Vocabulary Unit 1

Math– Review and complete Chapter 1 test. Chapter 2: Numbers to 1,000. Understand that each group of 10 tens is equivalent to 1 hundred and write 3-digit numbers that are represented by groups of tens. 

Science– Chapter 1: observe plants to determine how they are alike and different and continue discussing the parts of a plant and what each part needs to continue to live. 


Religion- To emphasize that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us, to highlight that the Holy Spirit helps the church to grow and to review chaper ideas that are key to growing as disciples.
