Week at a Glance:
ELA– a) Superkids: recognize and form possessives, understand and use pronouns, encode that if you hear -ch at the end of a word listen for the sound infront; if it’s a vowel sound spell the word with -tch, encode that to make the -th sound put your tongue in between your teeth and use memory words to help fill in the sentences provided.
b) Grammar: Singular and Plural Nouns
c) Writing: Use who, where, when and how to help the students write about the heroes in their lives.
Math– apply place value concepts to find equivalent representation of numbers, solve problems by finding different combinations of tens and ones to represent 2-digit numbers to find patterns, extend counting sequences working 100 by 1s, 5s and 10s, extend counting sequences working 100 by 1s, 5s, 10s and 100s and start reviewing for Chapter 1 test.
Science– Chapter 1: students will be demonstrating how to plant by planting their own flower bulb, continue discussing living/nonliving things and parts of a plant.
S.S.-
Religion- review Chapter 1 and take test. Introduce Chapter 2: Jesus’s followers we’re called disciples and that Jesus died and rose to new life.
