# 2nd Grade: Week of 11/4-11/8

Week at a Glance:

ELA– a) Superkids: encode that -er, -ir and -ur  sound alike, encode that long words are often made up of base words and encode that words with an -er ending often tells you what a person or thing does.

b) Vocabulary: Unit 3

Math– Chapter 3: Recall sums for addition facts using the make a ten strategy, find sums of three addends by applying the commutative and associative properties of addition, use the inverse relationship of addition and subtraction to recall basic facts and recall differences for basic facts using mental strategies.

Science–

S.S.- Chapter 1: Use your address to identify where you live, use symbols and find locations on maps and locate communities, states, the US and selected countries on maps.

Religion- Chapter 4: to explain that at Baptism we become children of God and members of the Church and to teach that in Baptism we receive grace, a share in God’s life.

b) Study Lessons 1-6 for ch.3 Quiz on Tuesday
