Letter from Ms. McManus

Dear Parents and Students of OLGCA,

I hope everyone is doing okay and hanging in there during these challenging times. A lot has changed for everyone in the last week. It truly has given us all a lot of insight, on things we take for granted.  In times like these, we need to say extra prayers, and know that we will all are in this together, and will be back together soon.

I am still looking for student volunteers to say morning prayers, the pledge of allegiance, and a message of the day, and post on the OLGCA Face Book page. The message could be: have a great day, a funny joke, or some thoughtful words. I think this would be a great way for all of us to pray together, and the students can see their classmates.

If you are interested in having your child participate, please email the video to mmcmanus@olgcahb.org. Thank you to the students who have participated, your videos were great!ideo by 8:00 a.m. each day to mmcmanus@olgcahb.org. This can be done as a family. I will post the videos each day, as they are received.

I am so proud of how the students are transitioning to their new way of learning. I am receiving a lot of positive feedback from your teachers on your performance from home. I was so excited to have the opportunity to Zoom with the kindergarten, first and second grades classes. I will continue to visit you in your Zoom classes, and see your smiling faces.

Thank you to all my teachers who have completely transitioned their way of teaching in a very short period of time. I know that you are going above and beyond each day to make learning from home, as easy as possible for your students. I am so proud and appreciative of this wonderful staff.

Thank you to all of the parents and guardians during this challenging time for all of us. Please continue to communicate with your child’s teachers if you have any questions, concerns, or need any clarification on anything. Miss McManus

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please email me at mmcmanus@olgcahb.org.

Best Wishes,

Miss McManus
